The Kosher Nutrition Lunch Program for the City of Yonkers is located in the Social Hall of Congregation Sons of Israel.
A delicious, nutritional lunch is served daily at 12 Noon (resevations are required). Many of the participants come from all parts of the city and enjoy eating in the company of other seniors. This is a very important aspect for the people living alone, or those not able to prepare meals.
Arm chair exercises and blood pressure screening are provided on a regular basis, as well as are guest speakers on subjects of importance; nutrition, Medicare, prescription drugs, care of eyes, teeth, etc.
In addition, the group participates in trips sponsored by the Senior Outreach to Seniors program of the Westchester County Office of Aging. Trips include an outing to Saxon Woods, Education Day at College, West Point, and many more.
For information and reservations call Cheryl O' Connor at 914-423-2070.
